ANN'S PLAN 
DeKalb County faces a number of challenges in the near future, including infrastructure issues, demographic changes, and governance issues, as well as continuing to enhance the quality of life for our citizens. To meet the challenges, the County needs to utilize all of its assets in promoting the great future of DeKalb County.
The economy, especially with rising gas prices, creation of more jobs, education and public safety are the top priorities in the Ann Kimbrough administration. We need more viable facilities and activities for seniors and our youth. The proposed, mixed use, senior living and activities facility on Candler Road that includes a County co-located library and privately-operated retail center, is an excellent example of a public-private partnership that benefits senior citizens and the greater community.
